Abstract: The impact of digital literacy on adult learning outcomes is crucial in the contemporary educational landscape where digital skills are increasingly important. This study aimed to (1) assess the extent to which digital literacy improves learning outcomes for adults, (2) evaluate the role of digital tools in facilitating lifelong learning, and (3) identify barriers to achieving digital literacy among adult learners. The survey research design was chosen, involving 160 adult learners who were engaged in digital literacy programs. Purposive sampling was utilized to select participants who were actively participating in these programs. The case study was carried out in Lagos State. The research found that digital literacy significantly enhanced learning outcomes, enabling adults to access information more efficiently and participate in continuous education. However, barriers such as limited access to digital devices and internet connectivity were identified. It was recommended that efforts be made to improve access to digital resources and provide training to enhance digital literacy skills among adult learners.
